Things don\'t work the same in brasil. -You pays your money and takes your chances. It\'s a job just to get a bank statement from Bank Do Brasil -and it\'s a chargeable service. Many customers in Brasil are very simple people (I don\'t mean stupid, just not worldly) which bank staff will take advantage of. The banking system and bank seems very old-fashioned and lo-tech. Their London branch is a tiny pokey office with just one desk. Moving anything securely to/from Brasil, including money, seems nigh impossible. I used to use a fantastic service in Aldgate but they stopped serving Brasil. I think the Brasil arm of the operation was a bit of a laundry. 5p (Paul)...

Two main points i would like to make. 1) I have been trying to set up a company bank account in Brasil. The Banco Do Brasil has taken 2 month\'s so far to open this account, and there is still no sign of it being completed. 2) The Banco Do Brasil, managed to loose money i had transfered out to Brasil... for 4 month\'s ! These type of incidents are NOT isolated. This bank seems to unable to complete the easiest of tasks, and even the it that takes month\'s to acheive! DO NOT TRUST THEM !!! ...
